 Under Surface ist von Beginn an ein sehr persönliches Album. Es hat Tiefgang. Wundervolle Melodien, mal im Progrock-, mal im Elektronik-Stil, wechseln sich unhörbar ab. Diese Musik berührt, verführt und reißt einen mit. Denn diese Musik kommt von Herzen. Rainer Klein teilt mit „Under Surface“ einen Teil von sich selbst. Was auf seinen letzten Alben bereits unnachahmlich angedeutet wurde, wird auf „Under Surface“ jetzt perfektioniert: Eine Symbiose aus Traum, Wirklichkeit und irgendetwas dazwischen. Ich bin wirklich begeistert und zugleich stolz dieses Album veröffentlichen zu dürfen. „Under Surface“ ist einfach toll.

 Under Surface is a very personal album right from the start. It has flotation depth. Wonderful melodies, sometimes in Progrock, sometimes in electronic style, alternate inaudibly. This music touches, seduces and tears you along. Because this music comes from the heart. Rainer Klein shares a part of himself with "Under Surface". What has already been inimitably hinted at in his last albums is now being perfected on "Under Surface": a symbiosis of dream, reality and something in between. I'm really excited and proud to release this album. "Under Surface" is just great.
