 Mit Dark Sun veröffentlich MellowJet-Records das nun bereits 11 Album des Norddeutschen Musikelektronikers „Faber“. Dieses Mal wird es dunkeler und sphärischer als üblich. Die 12 Songs auf dem Album fliegen nicht so leicht dahin, wie wir es von seinen letzten Alben gewöhnt sind. Alles ist schwerer und mystischer geworden. Fans von Fabers Musik werden mir zustimmen, wenn ich sage, dass das Album „Dark Sun“ aber auch erwachsener klingt. Faber spielt noch mehr mit den Klängen: Bekanntes und Neues mischt er gekonnt zusammen. Spacerockige E-Gitarren Soli, mächtige Pfeifenorgeln, Streicher im Zusammenspiel mit den verträumten Sequenzen der Synthetischen Welt machen aus „Dark Sun“ etwas Außergewöhnliches. Gekonnt gesetzte kurze aber prägnante Vokalelemente unterstützen dabei die insgesamt mystische Stimmung. Faber´s ganz eigene Melodielinien sorgen immer für den nötigen Wiedererkennungswert. „Dark Sun“ ist ein tolles Elektronik-Album zum Miterleben.

Space rocking electric guitar solos, powerful pipe organs, strings together with the dreamy sequences of the synthetic world make "Dark Sun" something extraordinary. Skillfully he set short but succinct vocal elements, which will support the whole mystical atmosphere. Faber's own melodies always provide the necessary brand recognition.
