 Als ich mit meiner Arbeit an "lunatic voyage" Anfang 2007 begann, hatte ich bereits die Idee eines Konzeptalbums im Kopf. Das Album sollte die Geschichte einer der verrücktesten Vision der Menschheitsgeschichte erzählen und zwar eine Reise zu unserem direkten kosmischen Nachbarn, dem Mond. Es dauerte tausende von Jahren von der ersten Vorstellung bis zu dem Tag, als der erste Mensch auf dem Mond landete und seinen Fußabdruck auf die staubige Oberfläche setzte.
Inspiriert durch die Faszination aktueller Raumfahrttechnik aber auch durch längst vergangene Mythen und Geschichten begann ich die Stücke auf "lunatic voyage" zu komponieren und zu produzieren. Im Laufe der Zeit entwickelte sich daraus ein Opus aus den unterschiedlichsten Sounds aus elektronischen und organischen Klänge, Sequenzen und Melodien.
Das Result ist ein außergewöhnliches und anspruchsvolles Album mit vielen Gesichtern: Tupfer der klassischen elektronischen Musik mit zum Teil poppigen Arragements, verpackt in den Sound des 21. Jahrhunderts. Ich hoffe, dass die Zuhörer dieses Albums genauso viel Spaß daran haben werden, wie ich während der 16 monatigen Produktionsphase... irgendwo zwischen Mond und Erde.
 „When I started with „lunatic voyage“ in early 2007, I had a straight concept album in mind: a CD retelling the whole story about the most lunatic vision of all mankind, making an adventurous voyage to the earths’ closest neighbour, the moon. It took thousands of years from the first imagination to the first man landing on the moon, leaving his footprint on its dusty surface.
Inspired by the fascination for aerospace-technique but also by myth and fairy tales made up hundreds of years ago, I started composing all the tracks of “lunatic voyage”. In the course of time it became an opus with lots of different electronic and organic sounds, sequences and harmonies. The result is an exceeding and exigent album with various faces: straight hints to classical Electronic Music, but also elements of 21st centuries’ sound. I hope listening to “lunatic voyage” will bring You as much particular joy as I had during its genesis ... somewhere between moon and earth.
