Harad Nies - Cableworld

DE: "Cableworld" heißt das bereits neunte Album des Spacerock-Musikers Harald Nies. Während sein letztes Album "Torodial Sequences" eher von Ruhe und experimentellen, meditativen Momenten geprägt war, zeigt der Musiker mit "Cableworld" wieder eine etwas andere Seite: "Cableworld" ist voll von eingängigen Melodien auf hohem Niveau. Dabei bedient sich der Künstler den Sounds der Vergangenheit und auch der Gegenwart. Gekonnt werden hier elegante Gitarrensoli mit verträumten Sequenzen gepaart. Auch einen kurzen Abstecher in die Welt des 4tothefloor wagt Nies auf ganz eigene Weise. "Cableworld" ist voll mit Musik, die keinem festen Raster folgt und stets mit einem sehr eingängigen Groove zum Tagträumen einlädt. Auch das Thema des Albums, "Cableworld", findet sich in der Musik sofort wieder und macht dieses Album, in meinen Ohren, zu einem echten Geheimtipp.
