DE: Mit „Groundcontrol and the Victory of Mankind“ veröffentlicht moonbooter das erste Album einer neuen Serie. Im Sommer 2018 hatte Bernd bereits ein paar der Songs dieses Projekts live vorgestellt: „Ich habe manchmal zu unterschiedlichen Output, der einfach schwer auf ein einziges Konzeptalbum passt. Deswegen kam mir die Idee zu einem neuen Projektnamen. Ich sehe „moonbooter“, wie schon so oft gesagt, nicht als Projekt, sondern als Synonym für mich selbst und mein musikalisches Schaffen. Zukünftig wird „Groundcontrol“ immer dann in Erscheinung treten, wenn sich meine Musik zu weit von der klassischen EM entfernt.“ Zwar ist Bernd´s musikalische Handschrift auf Groundcontrol nach wie vor dominant, trotzdem sind ein paar Dinge anders: Groundcontrol ist schneller, klarer aber auch einprägsamer. Wie bereits auf „The Wave“ oder „Schwarzmond“ ist das neue Album eine Spur düsterer. Melancholie und Euphorie liegen dabei sehr nah beieinander. Grundsätzlich dominieren, wie immer, Melodien und Sequenzen dieses Album, die moonbooter-üblich durch epische Rhythmen getragen werden. Aber auch treibende Beats und ein immer aktueller, analoger Sound zeichnen dieses Album aus. „Ich arbeite seit ein paar Jahren fast ausschließlich mit Hardware. Dadurch wirkt meine Musik weniger statisch und klingt einfach besser.“ Kaum ein Musiker der deutschen EM-Szene hat dabei über so viele Jahre einen so kontinuierlichen, vielseitigen und inspirierenden Output wie moonbooter. „Ich mache nur die Musik, die ich in mir trage.“ Auch auf seinen Konzerten gibt er seit vielen Jahren immer alles und weiß sein Publikum stets zu überraschen und zu begeistern. „Groundcontrol and the Victory of Mankind“ ist rythmische EM einer neuen Generation und will es auch sein. Im Punkto Klang brauch sich das Album nicht hinter den Größten der Szene zu verstecken. „Ja, meine Songs dürfen schon laut sein, aber diesen verrückten Loudness-Wahnsinn mache ich nicht mit“. Basically, as always, melodies and sequences dominate this album, which moonbooter-usually are carried by epic rhythms. But also driving beats and an always up-to-date, analog sound characterize this album. "I've been working almost exclusively with hardware for a few years now. This makes my music seem less static and just sounds better." Hardly any other musician of the German EM scene has had such a continuous, versatile and inspiring output over so many years as moonbooter. "I only make the music that I carry inside me." Also at his concerts he has been giving everything for many years and always knows how to surprise and inspire his audience. "Groundcontrol and the Victory of Mankind" is rhythmic EM of a new generation and wants to be. In terms of sound, the album doesn't need to hide behind the greatest of the scene. "Yes, my songs may be loud, but I don't go along with this crazy Loudness-madness". Sound lovers appreciate the high dynamics and the present and always clear moonbooter sound.
