Uwe Reckzeh meldet sich zurück. Fast drei Jahre ist es nun her, dass der Westfälische Musiker mit „Surreal Dreams“ sein letztes Werk im Berliner Schule Stil veröffentlichte. Eins vorab: Beim Wiedererkennungswert erhält sein aktuelles 2018er Album „Surreal Dreams“ schon mal volle Punktzahl. Reckzeh´s Stil ist unnachahmlich. Trotzdem werden Fans viele neue Eigenschaften entdecken. „Surreal Dreams“ ist musikalischer. Man könnte auch sagen, es ist menschlicher. Dadurch wirkt „Surreal Dreams“ im Gegensatz zu „Surreal Dreams“ weniger perfekt und genau das ist es, was dieses neue Album anders macht. Es scheint, als ob Reckzeh´s neue Musik mehr vom Zufall gesteuert wird. Das ist nicht nur sympathisch sondern auch sehr spannend. Man weiß nie, was als nächstes passiert. Trotzdem behält das komplette Album seinen „Flow“. Nichts ist bis ins letzte Detail „perfekt“. Ecken und Kanten sind erwünscht. Chaos und Ordnung stehen sich direkt gegenüber. Im Zusammenspiel wirken alle 7 Tracks wie aus einem Guss. Dabei wird „Surreal Dreams“ von einer maximal abwechslungsreichen Monotonie getragen, wie nur Reckzeh sie beherrscht. Mit „Surreal Dreams“ ist Uwe Reckzeh wieder einmal ein außergewöhnliches und besonderes Album im Berliner Schule-Stil gelungen, welches im klaren Gegensatz zu den zahllosen 08/15-Fühstücksproduktionen steht. Ist es nicht gerade das Un-perfekte, das die Dinge besonders macht? Dies ist frische Berliner Schule in Perfektion.

This "Surreal Dreams" is supported by a maximum of varied monotony, as only Reckzeh mastered. With "Surreal Dreams" Uwe Reckzeh once again succeeded in creating an extraordinary and special album in Berlin's school style, which stands in clear contrast to the countless 08/15 breakfast productions. Is not it the un-perfect thing that makes things special? This is fresh Berlin school in perfection.
