DE: “The Wave” ist das neue Album (2015) des Musikers, Musikproduzenten und Labelmachers Bernd Scholl aka moonbooter. „Das Jahr begann mit einer 4 monatigen musikalischen Auszeit. Dies war sehr ungewöhnlich für mich, hat aber im Nachhinein betrachtet richtig gut getan. Ich habe in dieser Zeit sehr viel unterschiedliche Musik konsumiert. Irgendwann war dann der richtige Zeitpunkt gekommen, mit dem nächsten Album zu beginnen. Ich entschied mich dafür, dieses Mal kein Leitthema zu nutzen um mich möglichst wenig selbst einzuschränken. Lediglich die konsequente Beschränkung auf die Nutzung von Hardwaresynthesizern gab es.“
Das Ergebnis ist ein fantastisches Elektronikalbum mit Songs der unterschiedlichsten Kategorien: Synthpop, Dubstep, eine Prise House, klassische EM, Soundtrack, etwas Worldmusic und mehr. Dank harmonischer Vocal-Tupfer und einer Reihe an mystischen Sprachsamples aus Vintagezeiten wechselt die Stimmung gekonnt von Song zu Song. „Das war und ist so gewollt. Gerade der unkonventionelle Wechsel zwischen den Genres macht „The Wave“ ziemlich spannend. Man weiß nie, was als nächstes kommt“. So stehen etwas Kitsch und moonbooter´s Hang zur Selbstironie in einer Reihe mit klassischen Elektronik Tracks mit Tiefgang. Der Spaß an elektronischer Musik aber auch die Melancholie und Euphorie in moonbooters Songs sind omnipräsent. Dabei bewegt sich „The Wave“ wieder einmal auf höchstem audiotechnischen Niveau. Auch in Punkto Sounddesign und Ästhetik ist „The Wave“ wieder einmal anders als die bisherigen Werke des Musikers.
Abschließend möchten wir noch auf die kurze Dokumentation des Künstlers zu jedem Titel hinweisen, die kurz und knapp die Idee der Songs und einige Produktionshinweise enthalten.

The result is fantastic electronic music with songs of different categories: Synth Pop, Dubstep, House, classic EM, soundtrack, some world music and more. Thanks harmonious vocals and a series of mystical voice samples of vintage times, the mood changes skillfully from song to song. "That is and was the plan. Particularly the unconventional exchange between the genres makes "The Wave" pretty exciting. You never know what's coming next. "So You find some kitsch and moonbooter's penchant for self-irony in a row with classical electronic tracks with depth. To rejoice in electronic music but also the melancholy and euphoria in moonbooters songs are omnipresent. "The Wave" is again at the highest technical audio level. Also in terms of sound design and aesthetics, "The Wave" is once again different from the previous works of the musician.
