„orbit number 2“ ist der Soundtrack zu „moonbooter´s“ gleichnamiger Video-DVD in Surroundsound. Diese beinhaltet in über 90 Minuten Spieldauer sehr schöne alte Aufnahmen der NASA, die zusätzlich durch digitale Effekte und Animationen verfeinert wurden. Dabei dienten die Filmaufnahmen wohl auch als Inspirationsquelle für die sehr gut passend elektronische Musik der CD. Der Sound klingt stellenweise nach Score und besitzt die moonbooter typischen Elemente aus klassischer Elektronischer Musik und neuen Syntheziser-Klängen. Zusammengefasst ist „orbit number 2“ ein sehr emotionales und mit Liebe zum Detail produziertes Elektronik-Album und sollte daher in Ruhe gehört und erlebt werden.

The 90 minutes lasting DVD includes beautiful old exposures from NASA which have been animated with additional digital effects. Obviously the takes have been source of inspiration for the well-fitting electronical music of the CD. Partly it sounds like Score and combines the moonbooter-typical elements from classical Electronical Music and modern synthesizer-sounds. Summarized, “orbit number 2” is a very emotionally and explicitly produced electronical album which should be enjoyed and experienced in a peaceful moment.
