Phase 5 ist, wie der Titel bereits erahnen lässt, das bereits fünftes Album des  Elektronik-Duos Wellenfeld. In den letzten zwei Jahren haben Detlef Dominiczak und Andreas Braun an ihren ganz typischen und unverwechselbaren Wellenfeld-Sound gefeilt und ihn mit ihrem neusten Werk "Phase 5" zur Vollendung gebracht.  Dabei wurde ganz bewusst und mit höchster Präzision die vergangenen Alben analysiert und eine logische Essenz gebildet. Das Ergebnis ist eine vollkommene Synbisose aus Cosmic Waves, Fusion, Trip to Illusion und Ihrem Album Sunshine. Wellenfeld erfindet sich somit nicht neu und das ist auch sehr gut so.  Pulsierende Sequenzen, verträumt-eingängige Melodien und ein immer zarter Rythmus wechseln sich in berechenbaren, hypnotischen Rastern ab. Erste Versionen einiger Songs auf Phase 5 konnten Fans vorab auf den Konzerten im Planetarium Bochum Anfang 2009 und auf dem Indoor Cycling Marathon im Dezember 2009 hören. Alle Stücke des Albums sind vollständig neue Kompositionen. Im Gegensatz zu den bisherigen Alben wurden alle Songs auf Phase 5 weich übergeblendet und bieten somit über 73 Minuten Hörgenuss ohne Pausen. Phase 5 ist ein beruhigendes und sehr eingängiges Elektronik-Album. Unbedingt antesten... Phase V is, as one can guess from the title, already the fifth album of the electronic-duo Wellenfeld. In the last two years Detlef Dominiczak and Andreas Braun worked on their typical and unique Wellenfeld sound and finally brought it to perfection with their latest album “Phase V”. Intentionally they analyzed their last albums with highest precision and created the logical essence. The result is a perfect symbiosis of Cosmic Waves, Fusion, Trip to Illusion and their album Sunshine. Wellenfeld do no reinvent themselves, well done!  Pulsating sequences, dreamy-catchy melodies and always a gentle rhythm alternate with predictable, hypnotic patterns. First versions of some songs from “Phase V” had been presented to the fans previously at the concert at Planetarium Bochum beginning of 2009 and at the Indoor Cycling Marathon in December 2009. All songs of this album are completely new compositions. In opposite to the previous albums all songs of “Phase V” have been crossfaded smoothly and offer 73 minutes auditory pleasure without breaks. “Phase V” is a comforting and very catchy electronic album.
