„Es war Zeit wieder zu meinen Wurzeln, der tanzbaren, elektronische Musik zurück zu kehren. Anfangs hatte ich kein konkretes Konzept im Kopf, aber im Laufe der Zeit entwickelte sich dieses selbstständig.“ So dominieren auf moonbooter´s zweitem Album alte Analogsynths, Vocoder, Arps und elektronische FX- Sounds. Dabei verbindet Bernd gekonnt die Welten des NewAge und der EM mit aktuellen tanzbaren Elementen. „Es hat mir sehr viel Spaß gemacht, mit diesen Gegensätzen zu spielen, alle möglichen Kombinationen miteinander zu verknüpfen und zu sehen, was dabei heraus kommt.“ Damit eignet sich „devided“ für den, der gerne neuzeitliche EM abseits von Ambient hört und dabei auch gerne etwas mehr Beats in Kauf nimmt.

Bernd skilfully combines the worlds of NewAge and EM with currently danceable elements. “I had a lot of fun playing with these contrasts, to combine various combinations and to experience the results.” “Devided” is made for those who enjoy listening to modern EM apart from ambient including some more beats.

[Moonbooter, aka Bernd Scholl, veröffentlichte passend zu seinem Auftritt beim Satzvey Castle-Festival am 22.04.2006 seine zweite CDR mit dem Titel „devided“. Mit seinem frischen Sound, der sowohl Elemente der „traditionellen Elektronik“ als auch des modernen Trance und House in sich verbindet, schafft er eine Brücke zwischen den Elektronikpuristen der „Berliner Schule“ und den jüngeren Musikkonsumenten. So kann der Weg für neue Hörer geebnet werden. Mit „Live In Peace“ starten wir in die CD mit Flächen, zu denen optisch ein Blick aus dem Orbit auf unsere Mutter Erde gut passt. Dann startet der Rhythmuscomputer und ab geht die Fahrt oder der Flug, ganz wie es der Hörer betrachten mag. Und durch das Gesangssample bietet er einen gewissen ethnischen Touch, denn das klingt so ähnlich wie Deep Forrest. Die 15 Tracks der mit fast 75 Minuten Spielzeit recht gut gefüllten CDR zeigen ganz deutlich, dass Bernd an Erfahrung gereift ist, denn die Tracks klingen kompakter und auch die Sounds sind noch besser gewählt, als auf dem Debütalbum.
Und dass Bernd den Rhythmus liebt, das zeigt er dann auch auf den restlichen Stücken. Es ist fast unmöglich bei dieser powervollen Musik ruhig zu bleiben. Irgendein Körperteil will automatisch in den Rhythmus der Musik einschwenken und sich bewegen. Bei „Core“ nutzt Bernd ein Soundsample aus dem Schiller-Klassiker „Ruhe“. Allerdings ist das kein Abklatsch der Schillertypischen Musik, nein, Bernd setzt seinen ganz eigenen Sound und Rhythmus obendrauf, so dass ein faszinierendes, fast technoartiges Stück daraus entsteht. Da hat er ein tolles Teil komponiert - unbedingt anhören.
Und so geht es auf der ganzen CD in einer faszinierend rhythmischen Art immer weiter. Einen einzelnen Titel herauszustellen, fällt mir wirklich schwer, da die ganze CD ein Knaller ist. Für mich ist dieses zweite Werk von Bernd noch um einiges besser als sein Debütalbum. Wer elektronische Musik mit einer gehörigen Portion an Beats mag, der sollte hier unbedingt zugreifen. ... [Devided, because Moonbooter is divided. Him who likes the traditional Electronic Music, as much as `' House'' or `' Trance’’ styles, tries to mix all three styles on the same opus. Even better, in each track. Giving to Devided a very dynamic sound texture where furious rhythms crossed more atmospheric passages. Nearly 75 minutes of music where Bernd Scholl diversifies his harmonies and sound effects on rhythms which cross techno, but a moderate techno, with the hypnotic sequences of Berlin School. Live In Peace starts Moonbooter’s second opus with rhythm and harmony. Behind the circular sequence, a beautiful mellotron synth fuses soft choruses which look curiously like the melodious world of Robert Fox on Underworld. An excellent opening, with rich sound colors. Order 77 and SFO The Beginning are other superb melodies with great harmonious arrangements that we will pick along this powerful rhythmic opus. With Analogyx, we enter into the more animated spheres of Devided. Dynamics and nervous, the synth whirl on juicy percussions which pulsate with intensity. The rhythm breaks and floats on an atmospheric interlude where the instruments seem to take their breathe. We will find these briefs moment, with smooth vaporous atmospheres and heteroclite sound effects, on most of the tracks on Devided. Moonbooter likes to toy with his rhythms and create atmospheres. Analogyx takes again its race on furious percussions, with Prodigy touch, and a bass mouldy line. Even if it’s a bit more techno, Core is build on a same musical pattern. The beat is on, nervous and felted as the intriguing and sensual Power and My Unknown Voice, witch has a progressive dance style approach. Nelectrance continues this musical push towards more unbridled and techno rhythms. Percussions strike on a heavy beat and a hypnotic bass line. Something between Depeche Mode and Jean Michel Jarre, just like Free From Dawn, another buster. Softer, and much melodious, Another Rainy Day has a flowing tempo, a little in a lounge mood style, like Power and its more spellbinding beat. I Can starts with strange vocals effects and move on a round and well balance bass line with lively percussions that amalgamate a beautiful synth. Tie together, we have the feeling that both throw melodic bits, here and there. Great percussions move on this powerful track. Among the fifteen tracks, Complexity is my favourite. On rotary sound effects, keys pulsate and move in echo on a line where string instruments rock the unknown. The percussions and the rhythm are slow, heavy. Subtly, the movement changes and takes a more orchestral moulding and blows a superb melody. Dark Wave is another jewel. On a strong beat, percussions bang and keys lost within an enveloping synth. Another line breathes a dynamic movement and the track explodes with unusual energy and fall on a melodious line which hooks instantaneously. Definitely, the more we approach the end, the more the jewels accumulate. The Truth is simply a superb melody which opens with a synthetic wind and keys falling with a nostalgic glare. A soft rhythm, as silky as its felted percussions, borer this intro with guitars keys and a soft Eastern wind flute. An excellent title which shows the skill of Moonbooter at producing string quartet and orchestral arrangements. Das Leben encloses Moonbooter second opus on a powerful whirling rhythm, swarming with unchained percussions. If Moonbooter mandate itself to join the random atmospheres of Berlin School to the wild rhythms and pulsations of a dance floor, 
we can say; accomplished mission. Devided is a 75 minutes of intense music where percussions play catalyst part on arrangements and harmonious movements. Because on Devided, the percussions make the law. [Devided, parce que Moonbooter est divisé. Lui qui aime la Musique Électronique classique, autant que la ‘’House’’ ou le ‘’Trance’’ tente de croiser les styles. Ce qui donne un cd très dynamique où, effectivement, les rythmes endiablés sont vrillés par des passages atmosphériques. Un opus aussi harmonieux que Teralogica, mais plus intense. Devided c’est près de 75 minutes où Bernd Scholl diversifie ses harmonies et effets sonores sur des rythmes qui croisent la techno, mais une techno modérée, aux séquences hypnotiques de la Berlin School. Live In Peace démarre avec rythme et harmonie. Derrière la séquence circulaire, un beau synthé enveloppant, aux souffles mellotronnés, fuse des chœurs qui ressemblent étrangement au mélodieux monde de Robert Fox sur Underworld. Une excellente ouverture, riche en texture sonore. Order 77 et SFO The Beginning sont d’autres superbes mélodies aux arrangements harmonieux que l’on cueille sur cet opus aux rythmes puissants. Avec Analogyx, nous entrons dans les sphères plus animées de Devided. Dynamique et nerveux, le synthé tourbillonne sur de savoureuses percussions qui pulsent avec intensité. Le rythme casse et flotte sur un intermède où les instruments refont le plein. On retrouve ces brefs moment, aux atmosphères vaporeuses et effets sonores hétéroclites, sur la majorité des quinze titres sur Devided. Moonbooter aime nuancer les rythmes et créer les atmosphères. Analogyx reprend sa course sur de furieuses percussions, à la Prodigy, et une ligne bien basse, bien juteuse. Respectant la même structure de composition, Core embrasse un beat techno feutré, tout comme l’intriguant et sensuel Power, de même que My Unknown Voice, un titre ‘’dance’’ très progressif. Nelectrance continue cette poussée musicale 
vers des rythmes plus débridés, plus techno. Les percussions assomment sur un beat crevant et une ligne de basse hypnotique. Un croisement entre Depeche Mode et Jarre, tout comme Free From Dawn d’ailleurs. Plus doux, et tout autant mélodieux, Another Rainy Day possède un tempo coulant, un peu ‘’lounge’’. Si vous aimez, Power est dans la même veine, mais avec un beat plus hypnotique. S’ensuit I Can. Un titre génial avec une intro aux effets vocaux tordus. Le rythme crève sur une ligne bien ronde et pesante. Les percussions frétillent et épousent des mouvements qui se mélangent aux notes d’un synthé tout aussi nerveux. Ensemble, ils créent l’illusion de brins d’harmonie. Un titre puissant qui progresse sur une bonne ligne de basse soutenue et des percussions claquantes à la Jarre. Complexity est ma préférée parmi cette collection de quinze titres. Sur des effets sonores rotatifs, les notes pulsent et avancent en écho sur une ligne où des instruments à cordes bercent l’inconnu. Les percussions et le rythme sont lents, pesants. Subtilement, le mouvement change et prend un moulage plus orchestral et souffle une superbe mélodie. Dark Wave est un autre bijou. Sur un beat corsé, les percussions claquent et les notes se perdent dans un synthé enveloppant. Une autre ligne souffle un mouvement dynamique. Le titre explose d’une énergie peu commune et tombe sur un 
mouvement mélodieux qui accroche instantanément. Décidément, plus la fin approche, plus les bijoux s’accumulent. Car The Truth est une autre superbe mélodie qui ouvre avec un vent synthétique et des notes qui tombent avec un éclat nostalgique. Un doux rythme, aussi soyeux que ses percussions feutrées, perce cette intro avec des notes de guitares sur une flûte à saveur orientale. Un excellent passage qui démontre le talent d’arrangeur de Moonbooter. Das Leben clôture ce 2ième effort de Moonbooter sur un puissant rythme tourbillonnant, grouillant de percussions déchaînées. Si Moonbooter s’est donné comme mandat de joindre les atmosphères aléatoires de la Berlin School aux rythmes sauvages des pulsations de planchers de danse, on peut dire; mission accomplie. Devided c’est 75 minutes de musique intenses où les percussions jouent un rôle de catalyseur sur des arrangements et des mouvements harmonieux. Car sur Devided, les percussions font la loi. Elles sont les rythmes, la puissance et la profondeur d’un cd bourré de 15 titres aux harmonies accrochantes.
