DE: Der Cosmos ist für mich ein unbegreifbarer Raum, dessen Geheimnisse mich immer wieder auf´s Neue faszinieren. Dies ist ein Grund dafür, daß ich mich diesem Thema seit Jahren musikalisch widme.
Auf meinem 2016er Album „Cosmoharmonics“ lagen, wie der Name es schon vermuten lässt, die Harmonien im Vordergrund. Nun sind alle meine Alben harmonisch und wenig bis gar nicht experimenteller Natur. Auf Cosmoharmonic standen aber die Harmonien von Melodien und auch die harmonischen Ereignisse unterschiedlicher Klangmodulationen im Fokus der Produktionsphase. So sind auch wieder einige Naturklänge wie Piano, Gitarre oder Streicher vertreten, die sich mit den rein elektronischen Klängen zu einem Ganzen verbinden.
Eigentlich hatte ich eine ganz andere Vorstellung davon, wie das Album werden sollte: Düster, „deep“ und kalt sollte es klingen. Zudem sollten Rhythmen keine allzu große Rolle spielen. Nachdem ich mit der Produktion begonnen hatte, stellte ich schnell fest, dass ich nur das machen kann und möchte, was musikalisch in mir steckt: Eingängige, abwechslungsreiche Melodien mit melancholischem Grundton, starke Rythmen, ein umarmender Sound und Songs, die sich sukzessive aufbauen um dann nach einem wohltuenden Höhepunkt langsam enden. Und genau das ist aus Cosmoharmonics geworden. Klangtechnisch hat sich nicht viel verändert: Cosmoharmonics ist meiner Meinung nach noch eine Spur dynamischer. Die Genres reichen von Club über Breakbeat bis hin zu tiefer epochaler Elektronik. Natürlich liegt über allem ein Hauch klassischer EM. So bin ich eben…
EN: For me, the cosmos is an unexplainable space whose secrets fascinate me again and again. This is the reason for me to dedicate myself to this theme musically since many years now.
On my current album „Cosmoharmonics“ harmonies, as may be assumed from the name, are in the foreground. Well, all my albums are harmonic and hardly ever of an experimental nature. On Cosmoharmonics, harmonies and melodies and also the harmonic events of various sound modulations were in focus during the production period. Again, some natural sounds such as piano, guitar and strings are represented which liaise with the electronic sounds to an ensemble.
Originally, I had a different imagination of what the album should finally become: dark, „deep“ and cold sound. Rhythms should not play an important role. When I started with the production I determined quickly that I could only realize what I have got within me: catchy, diversified melodies with a melancholic keynote, strong rhythms, an embracing sound and songs which raise gradually to a pleasant climax and end smoothly. Exactly that is Cosmoharmonics. Sounds did not change significantly: Cosmoharmonics is slightly more dynamic in my opinion. It extends from club and breakbeat to a deeply epic electronic.
