Stefan Erbe

Stefan Erbe - was born 1968 in Hagen, Germany. Started with the first tries in electronic music with 12 years, after his father placed an korg ms 20 synth over the existing old farfisa organ. His first step wasn´t succesful and creative, cause his brothers take most of the view to the electronics and leave him only in a listening position. Also the vistings in the musicschool frustrated him at the point of learning the “cancan”. This was the unreachable goal that sent stefan back to the basic work at the synths, to spin the knobs and push the 5-volt-buttons. After several years of watching, handling and selffinding, he bought an used korg polysix that let him thinking, he is the “inventor” of the new electronic music, especially the inspirating arpegiator motivated permanetly, but it took a long time to create things, which were “likeful for the audience”. The first tapes from stefan erbe were produced in the lately eightees and were inspired by Tangernine Dream, Kraftwerk etc. But also groups like Devo, Thomas Dolby and Saga were important for his development. The influence of the classic and traditional electronic was lost at the beginning ninetees and stefan create his own sound of electronic. Every production has the goal, to go to the next step of sound and production level. A logical result was the music for his first CD: “planetary model of hagen”. Supported by the german radioshow “Schwingungen”, stefan erbe becomes a notified and popular musician. The next productions “light of sirus”, “Digital Entrance” and “Kunststoff” enhanced the success.
The typical sound of Erbe, delivered a fresh fusion of rhythmful and beat with melodic elements. This catchy combination continued on the milestone Album “Intermediate” and on the best off cd “querbeat de luxe” Stefan released also the albums: “particular X” “united” and “Synasthetik”. These cds are mirrors of the time between the beginning and today. All of them offers highlights from the years, were stefan intensify his production level. 
A main thing in his works, are the cosmic elements and the friendship to the observatory hagen. Many concerts and other spacy-events followed from this connection and will be a part of his works in the future. Now, in the Year 2008, Erbe released his new Production “speed of life” at the first time via Download and as a regular cd, which is available at may, the 3rd.
